Meg Johnson, renowned for her appearances in programmes such as Emmerdale and Coronation Street, has passed away at the age of 86.
A statement was issued on the social media platforms of Emmerdale, stating that the esteemed actress passed away “peacefully” while “surrounded by her family”.
“With deep sorrow, we inform you that actress Meg Johnson peacefully departed from this world yesterday evening, with her loved ones by her side,” the statement conveyed.
“Meg was a kind and marvellous lady, brimming with warmth and always sporting a mischievous glint in her eye. She will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.”
