Top British comedian and TV personality rushed to hospital

Michael McIntyre enthusiasts were left facing the prospect of missing out on an opportunity to witness the comedian live as he was hurried to hospital over the weekend.

The 48-year-old British comedian underwent emergency surgery to extract kidney stones on Sunday, compelling him to call off a performance at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre on March 4 as he recuperates.

Supportive messages flooded social media platforms after the cancellation announcement, with anxious ticket-holders expressing uncertainty regarding McIntyre’s ability to recuperate in time for his remaining tour dates.

On X (formerly Twitter), one fan expressed, “Get well soon Michael… do you know if you’ll be well enough for Nottingham at the weekend?” Another individual added, “Very sorry to hear, get well soon. Do you know if Nottingham show on March 9th will take place? Need to know if to cancel hotel etc, sorry for asking.”
