The M6 was shut in both directions following a tanker overturning and causing a significant milk spillage on the motorway.
The heavy goods vehicle collided with the central reservation while heading northbound at approximately 7am today in Lancashire.
An estimated 20,000 litres of milk were reportedly spilled across the carriageway traveling northbound, while a diesel spillage was discovered on the carriageway heading southbound.
Authorities have stated that the lorry crashed between junction 31 for Preston, Lancashire, and junction 32, which connects to the M55 and leads to the Blackpool region.
