The collision, involving at least 15 vehicles on the M23 between Crawley and Horsham, has resulted in multiple casualties.

South East Coast Ambulances swiftly responded to the incident after receiving a call at 5.40 pm and are currently tending to the injured, while Sussex Police advise the public to ‘avoid the area’.

Friday evening rush hour traffic came to a halt in both directions of the motorway that connects London to Brighton between Junctions 10 and 11.
