A woman’s lifeless body has been recovered from Waterloo Lake in Roundhay Park, Leeds, triggering an investigation into her “unexplained” demise.
The incident unfolded shortly after 6 am when a member of the public alerted the police to the presence of a body in the water.
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene and confirmed the woman’s death on-site.
Law enforcement is currently engaged in determining the woman’s identity. She is described as having dark hair and was found wearing a black top, black shorts, black knee-high socks, and black boots.
At present, the circumstances surrounding her death are being treated as unexplained, pending a post-mortem examination.
