Girl arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after teachers and pupil stabbed at school

A teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two teachers and a pupil were stabbed at a school in West Wales.

Police confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that three people were injured at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman school and are receiving treatment for stab wounds.

Dyfed-Powys Police reported that the incident occurred at about 11.20 am on Wednesday morning. The force confirmed the school was put into lockdown “for the safety of all on the premises.”

The comprehensive school, located in the town of Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, accommodates over 2,000 pupils aged between 11 and 18.

Pupils were allowed to leave the school at around 3.20 pm, with hundreds of parents assembled outside to pick them up.
