Ant McPartlin breaks his silence on wife Anne-Marie Corbett’s pregnancy

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have disclosed that they are taking a break from Saturday Night Takeaway to prioritise family time, particularly with Ant anticipating the arrival of his first child.

The Geordie duo, both 48, are scheduled to resume hosting the 20th series of the show on ITV1 at 7 pm on February 24, several months after announcing its temporary suspension.

Ant has now explained the genuine reasons behind the show’s hiatus in an interview with Fault Magazine, where he publicly acknowledged his wife’s pregnancy for the first time. He stated, ‘We need to spend some time with our family. We’ve both got children.’

This revelation coincides with Ant’s impending fatherhood in June, as his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, is expecting. This will be Ant’s first child, while Anne-Marie already has two children from her previous marriage.

In the meantime, Dec, who shares two children – Isla, aged five, and Jack, one – with his wife Ali Astall, will also be taking the hiatus to focus on family matters.
