A woman who had no idea she was pregnant woke up in excruciating pain following a night out and gave birth to a baby in her bed.
Georgia Crowther, 20, said she had felt bloated but was completely unaware she was nine months pregnant with her second child when she began experiencing stomach cramps last Saturday.
She and her partner of four years, Calvin Home, 27, had returned home from a family dinner and had gone to bed when Georgia woke up at around 3am in excruciating pain.
After being told that an ambulance would take six hours to arrive, Georgia remained in bed whilst Calvin went downstairs to look after their two-year-old daughter, Isla-Mae.
When he came back upstairs to check on his partner, she was sat on the floor cradling a baby boy, reports the Manchester Evening News.
“Calvin was downstairs with our little girl and he thought I was asleep,” Georgia said.
“When he came up I was on the floor and I had just had the baby.
“He was on the phone to the ambulance and was like ‘Oh my God it’s a f****** baby.’
“I had been on the bed and I just felt like I really needed to push. I got on my hands and knees and was just biting on to the duvet.”
Calvin and Georgia’s baby son Vincent Home was born at 8.05am on Saturday morning.
Mum and baby were taken to Royal Oldham Hospital within 10 minutes of Georgia giving birth, where they remained for several days to ensure they were healthy.
