Woman dies in horrific Christmas Day accident

Three people have been hospitalised with injuries after a yellow taxi struck several pedestrians near a busy intersection in Manhattan on Christmas Day.

The distressing incident took place on Avenue of the Americas and West 34th Street, in the heart of Herald Square, just after 4 pm on Wednesday.

The New York City Police Department confirmed to The U.S. Sun that officers were attending the scene of “multiple injuries.”

New York fire officials stated that at least three individuals were transported to hospital after a yellow cab van mounted the kerb and struck multiple pedestrians, according to CBS News.

Photos obtained by the outlet showed the taxi with several dents along the side of the vehicle and its front bumper completely torn off.
