An investigation has been launched following the tragic death of a 59-year-old employee at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, we can reveal.
Sources said the male worker died after falling from a hydraulic platform during unloading works of a cargo plane on Wednesday afternoon at the Ayrshire transport hub.
It’s understood emergency services raced to the scene but that they were unable to save the yet unnamed man.
A source said: “The worker sadly fell to his death.
“He was working at height, on a hydraulic lift, up high.”
