Got To Dance star Leon Heywood has passed away at the age of 45.
The performer, who was a director of the Trinity Warrior Dance Academy in Derby, appeared on the second series of the Sky One competition in 2011.
The group reached the finals, impressing judges Davina McCall, Kimberly Wyatt, and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo.
In a statement shared on Facebook on Wednesday, the academy announced Heywood’s death, paying tribute to him as a “mentor, friend and role model.”
