Queen ‘deeply hurt’ by Harry and Meghan

The Queen is said to be “deeply hurt” over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not attending Prince Philip’s memorial for a trip to Holland, which a royal expert claims is because Meghan didn’t “want to miss out on the publicity.”

Harry and wife Meghan have opted instead to head to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, where the pair will be followed around by a Netflix documentary crew.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will mark the opening ceremony of the games at The Hague, their first trip to Europe since the pair left the Royal Family two years ago.

But a royal expert claims the pair’s actions are said to have “deeply hurt” the Queen.

Royal experts have alleged that this is a “snub” to the Queen, with the pair not attending Prince Philip’s memorial service just a few days ago.

Claims also say that while it is “unnecessary” for Meghan to be at the games, she “wouldn’t want to miss out on the publicity”.

Royal expert Angela Levin said: “I think it’s truly shocking. I think the royal family are deeply hurt, but that’s precisely what they must want, otherwise, they wouldn’t act like that.

“We saw the Queen, you can’t help but feel desperately sorry for her, she would have loved to have Harry there for the day. I just think it’s unbelievable.”

Levin alleged also that Meghan was there because the cameras were too, saying: “Meghan is going because they’re doing the next Netflix documentary. They’re going with cameras, and she wouldn’t want to miss out on the publicity.

“It’s such snub, you cannot believe that Harry is the same person as he was in 2018 when I met him. It looks as if he’s been somewhat brainwashed to hate his family.”

Meghan has not returned to the UK since stepping down from royal duties, while Prince Harry has been back twice.
