Match stopped at Wimbledon after HORROR injury during game

ALIZE CORNET was overcome with emotion after sustaining a severe injury on Centre Court at Wimbledon.

The French tennis player took a hard fall towards the end of the second set, with the score tied at 5-5.

As she made her way back to her seat, Cornet couldn’t hold back her tears and required on-court medical assistance.

Cornet’s knee twisted awkwardly upon impact, causing significant pain, while her opponent Elena Rybakina expressed concern for her wellbeing.

A physiotherapist promptly attended to Cornet, tightly wrapping her right knee with tape.

Fortunately, despite the injury, Cornet bravely continued to compete. However, she was unable to prevent Rybakina from securing victory in the match.
