Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers’ bittersweet last post before death aged 66

HAIRY Bikers star Dave Myers shared a poignant final post about his ‘next adventure’ with pal Si King before his passing at the age of 66. The TV chef’s co-star Si, aged 57, conveyed the tragic news in a statement this morning.

Dave had been combating cancer since May 2022 but had managed to regain his health in recent months, allowing him to resume work and film their latest TV series, The Hairy Bikers Go West. The duo’s ultimate post was posted just yesterday, portraying Dave and Si smiling while seated closely together in the sunshine, with Dave holding onto his biker helmet.

The caption read: “For their next adventure out West, the Bikers are exploring Merseyside and The Wirral, a place that holds a lot of childhood memories for both Dave and Si.

“It’s also an area world renowned for its unbeatable musical heritage and cultural identity. And the Boys quickly learn it has a food scene to match.”

In the episode that aired on Tuesday, Dave addressed his illness right at the beginning. He mentioned in a voiceover: “After my recent struggles, it looked like our adventures could be over.” Then, speaking to the camera, he added: “When I was told I was ill, I never thought I’d ride a motorcycle again.”
