Gary Lineker interrupted by sex moans as FA Cup coverage descends into chaos

BBC’s coverage of the FA Cup was hijacked by the viral sex moans clip.

Shortly after host Gary Lineker opened up the programme for the third round replay between Wolves and Liverpool, the infamous moaning could be repeatedly heard in the background. Lineker looked around the studio in disbelief before chuckling to himself as he said: “I don’t know who’s making that noise.”

After the game had got underway it emerged someone had planted a phone to play the clip over and over. “Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing,” tweeted Lineker.

And infamous pitch invader Jarvo69 soon posted a video on YouTube taking credit for the sabotage. In the video, he can be seen speaking to someone on the phone before calling another device.

It seems that device is the one found by Lineker and Co with the ringtone set to that of the viral adult noises.

The veteran Match of the Day anchor has virtually seen it all in his broadcasting career but was in a state of shock as he spoke to colleague Alan Shearer, who was in the commentary box.

He said: “It’s toasty in this studio, it’s a bit noisy as well. I don’t know if somebody’s sending something on someone’s phone, I think it’s a joke. I don’t know whether you heard it at home.”
