Family subjected to racist abuse on Scots bus after being targeted by drunk thug

A family have suffered racist abuse on a Paisley bus after being targeted by a drunk thug. 

The incident happened on Thursday at around 6.45pm and lasted around ten minutes.

Police are now hunting a white male in his 20s who is described as skinny, tanned, 5’9”, and has short light brown hair. 

A member of the public reported the vile abuse to police who are now looking to find the family.

Officers are also looking for any other witnesses who were on the number 38 bus which left Paisley Town Centre traveling to Johnstone at the time.

A spokes person for Police Scotland said: “At around 1845 hours on Thursday 12th August a family were allegedly subjected to racial abuse by another passenger.

“The abuse continued for a period of 10 minutes before the suspect male exited the bus at George Street, Paisley.

“The male is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol.

“The incident was reported to police by a member of the public and we are looking to trace the family and also any witnesses that were on the bus at the time.
