HOLLYOAKS and Only Fools and Horses star Diane Langton has died aged 77. The actress, who gained her big break in Carry On Teacher in 1959, passed away this morning, her agent has confirmed.
A statement read: “I am sad to say that Diane Langton passed away this morning.”
The star, originally from Somerset, enjoyed a lengthy career on screen, including the TV spin-off Carry On Laughing in 1975 and the film sequel Carry On England in 1976.
She had a recurring role as June Snell, a former girlfriend of Del Boy (David Jason), in the beloved BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses, appearing in two episodes during the 1980s.
Diane also appeared in the BBC soap EastEnders as Bev Williams and featured in The Bill and Heartbeat before joining the cast of Channel 4’s Hollyoaks in 2007 as Marlena ‘Nana’ McQueen.
