Brit tourist ‘raped on beach by two men on Greece holiday

A YOUNG British tourist was allegedly raped by two men on a beach in Crete after being dragged off a sunbed.

The 18-year-old woman was reportedly lying on a sunbed on a beach in the city of Rethymno when she was attacked by two men.

Her attackers “immobilised her and raped her,” Greek publication Neakriti reports.

She is said to have reported the rape to the local cops on Monday after the horror assault on the Greek island in the early morning hours.

Detectives immediately launched an investigation and identified two suspects.

Two young men of Pakistani origin aged 26 and 23 have been arrested, according to local media reports.

They are reportedly due to appear in court this week.

A forensic examination is set to be carried out on the victim.

It comes after another British tourist was allegedly raped by a taxi driver in Crete after he took her to a remote spot instead of her hotel.

The 43-year-old woman told the cops she was attacked in the resort town of Hersonissos after the man picked her up from a bar in the early hours of May 31.
