The Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences announced the news of his death in a post on X, honouring his ‘enormous career’ in television and film.
‘The AMACC regrets the sensitive death of actor Emilio EchevarrÃa, who forged an enormous career in film and theatre. He received three Ariel nominations for his participation as a side actor,’ the academy wrote. No further details have been provided, and the cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
