A 15-year-old boy has been killed in a home, with his mum and a 37-year-old man accused of murdering him.
Paramedics found Sebastian Kalinowski unconscious at the property in Leeds Road, Huddersfield, on Friday.
Despite the best efforts of the ambulance crew, the teenager died at the scene, Yorkshire Live reports.
Andrezej Latoszewski, 37, and Agnieszka Kalinowska, 34, both of Leeds Road, Huddersfield, have been charged with murder and appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court today.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that Ms Kalinowska was the boy’s mother.
Latoszewski has been remanded to appear before Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.
West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team say they want to speak to anyone who knew the North Huddersfield Trust School pupil.
Officers are keen to build a picture of Sebastian, who had been in the UK for a limited amount of time, spoke limited English, and apparently had limited social contacts.
Police were called to an address on Leeds Road by the ambulance service on Friday after Sebastian was found unconscious.
The teenager was given medical treatment but sadly died at the scene.
Examinations showed he had a number of physical injuries and, as a result of enquiries, officers arrested two people who were charged in the early hours of this morning.
