Strictly Come Dancing pro sparks rumour Dec Donnelly could join the show in 2019

Declan Donnelly’s incredible dance moves could catch the eye of Strictly Come Dancing bosses after a video of him strutting his stuff has resurfaced.

Former Strictly pro Vincent Simone brought Dec’s prowess to the attention of Twitter by sharing a throwback video from a past performance on Saturday Night Take Away.

For the End of the Show Show, Vincent performs a routine with fellow Strictly alumni Flavia Cacace, before Dec and co-host Ant McPartlin join in the fun.

Dec is seen confidently rocking a few solo steps before performing a fast-footed tango with Latin champ Flavia.

“Remember this?” asked Vincent as he shared the footage taken in 2015 with his 87,000 followers.

One immediately piped up: “Awww brilliant.  Dec definitely needs to go on # bbcstrictly !!!!!! Would be fab.”

But as another fan of Vincent’s stated, Dec will be away filming I’m A Celebrity in Australia for a large bulk of the Strictly season.

Earlier this year it was confirmed that Dec will be back with his TV partner Ant McPartlin for this year’s series, who missed out on 2018’s outing.

While it’s unlikely Dec will be hot-stepping it to the BBC dancefloor, several other famous faces have  joined the rumoured line-up.

Social media sensation Sophie Hincliffe has apparently caught the attention of bosses after they noticed her huge online following – known as the ‘Hinch Army’.

Sources at the dancing show also revealed to the Mirror that Boyzone singer Keith Duffy is on the list of celebrities they are desperate to sign for this year’s series.
