A MOTORIST chanted “Meghan’s having a baby” after spotting a car with pink blankets stuffed in the window escorted by a police motorcade through Windsor.
Tamoor Ali couldn’t believe his eyes when the Bentley drove slowly through the streets, close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s home in Frogmore Cottage.
The 37-year-old man, who was driving to the train station with his brother-in-law Akib Hanif, has now been left convinced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have welcomed a baby girl and that the motorcade was the couple on their way home from hospital.
Speaking to the Sun Online, Mr Ali said: “We had got off the M4 and a police motorbike stopped us and asked us to pull to the left.
“Then we saw a vehicle that had pink paraphernalia at the back of the windscreen go past – it was going very slowly over speed bumps.
“It seemed like someone was in there who couldn’t handle speedbumps – a baby.”
He said the escorted car then turned down a road close to the cottage before they lost sight of it.
The finance worker, from Slough, said he was positive that the entourage meant that Meghan, 37, had given birth to Baby Sussex already.
He said: “It seems to me that the baby is here and they haven’t announced it yet.
“It was the baby – we were quite certain.”
Mr Ali said his brother-in-law, who missed his train to Manchester in all the excitement, had grabbed his phone to record as a second motorcade followed minutes later, heading towards the recently renovated Frogmore Cottage.
He said they circled the round about to continue following the motorcade just after 10am – excited at the prospect of being so close to the royals.
Prince Harry, 34, and wife Meghan confirmed they were pregnant in October last year, with an expected due date of Spring 2019.
And the Duchess of Sussex herself told fans she was expecting to give birth in late April or early May.
But royal watchers have been left desperate for news as her expected due date in April flew past with no news.
Many were left confused as Prince Harry announced he would be heading to Amsterdam next week.
Theories have been circulating in the past week that Meghan had already given birth, with her mum Doria Ragland, making her way to the UK in recent weeks.
Fans also pointed to her make-up artist’s arrival in the UK as signs Harry may have already welcomed their baby boy or girl.
Paddy Power claimed the flurry of bets placed on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already having welcomed a baby girl overnight suggested “someone knows something”.
It is still not clear where Meghan will give birth after The Sun revealed on March 30 the Duchess shunned a birthing suite in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London.
Excited Mr Ali said while he was not a huge royal fan, he loved Meghan Markle.
He said: “I like what she’s representing, and what she’s trying to do.
“I’m not a royal purist but she has re-energised us.”
