Hungover phil ‘sick in helmet’ after turning up late this morning

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield looked worse for wear after late night celebrations at the National Television Awards

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were bleary-eyed and bushy tailed on today’s This Morning after a boozy National Television Awards

The presenters managed to keep their long streak of hosting the show hungover the morning after the NTAs going in style.

Screaming Holly proudly lifted their trophy, following their ninth Best Daytime Show win in a row, in the air as they rocked up on motorbikes.

They didn’t turn up for work in their awards outfits but they were still looking a little worse for wear.

Phil said: “Thank you guys, what a hell of a night. I’m about to be sick in the helmet I think.”

Alison Hammond was holding the fort but they told her to carry on for the rest of the show.

Phil joked: “I tell you what that was one hell of a club.

“I don’t know whose jacket this is. I just put my hands in the pockets and that was a mistake.”

Alison revealed she had lost the fun-loving presenters halfway through the night.

Comforting Phil, Holly said: “Come on we can do this together. You’ll be fine.”

Struggling to speak, Phil said: “I’m worse than you this year. Ready to start again?”

Before the show even started, a short teaser clip of the presenters’ hands reaching for the aspirin was shown.

The banner across the bottom read: “We’re live at 10:30, hopefully!”

Philip was spotted swigging from a hip flash last night doing interviews about their awards success.

It seemed like he might have regretted guzzling alcohol so early on in the night after being left with a banging headache.

Holly accepted I’m A Celebrity’s award on behalf of Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – having covered for absent Ant during the last series.

After I’m A Celebrity scooped the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award this evening, Holly took to the stage and revealed that she had “spoken to the boys”.

Revealing their emotional message, she said that the experience had allowed her to “jump into one of [her] favourite shows”.

“I spoke to the boys earlier tonight and they told me to say thank you to everyone for voting, it’s something very close to their heart,” she gushed. “I managed to jump into one of my favourite TV shows.”

This certainly isn’t the first time that Phil and Holly have been very hungover on This Morning.

Holly had that it was all going to happen again in Tuesday’s episode, admitting that she “doesn’t trust herself” not to get drunk.

She told Phil: “I just said I want to go to the NTAs tonight but not with me. I’m an idiot and I don’t trust myself. I’ll get giddy and have fun and not want to go home.

Last year they pranked viewers by “not turning up to work” as a message revealed they were not in the studio.

Of course they were actually ready to roll, but they were still suffering.

Holly had her eyes on the bacon rolls being mad while Phillip was left gagging at the sight of them.
