Horror as film crew member dies after falling from balcony of Tom Hanks movie

A FILM crew member working on a Tom Hanks film died after becoming ill and falling two stories off a balcony.

Emmy-award-winning sound engineer James Emswiller fell about 7.30pm last night during a break in filming of You Are My Friend in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, police say.

The 61-year-old Pittsburgh man, who was working on a film about Mister Rogers, died later in hospital.

Mr Emswiller was involved in the sound production of the film, which is based on the life of Fred Rogers, the genial host of Mister Rogers’ Neighbourhood.
