Firefighters in horror crash after fire engine overturns on 999 call

TWO FIREFIGHTERS have been taken to hospital after their fire engine overturned on a 999 call this evening.

The fire engine was in Billingham, in Teesside, when it crashed at around 9pm.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene.

A spokesman for North East Ambulance Service told the Sun Online two firefighters had been taken to the University Hospital of North Tees.

Cleveland Fire and Rescue have been approached for comment.
