A body has been found in the search for missing British teenager Nora Quoirin, the police chief leading the search has said.
Mohammed Yusop told MailOnline: ‘I can confirm a body has been found in the Betembum mountains. It is not in an accessible place’
He added that forensic examination was needed to determine if the body was male or female.
The Lucie Blackman Trust, the charity supporting the family from the UK, tweeted to say they were aware of reports a body had been discovered but were ‘urgently seeking clarification’.
Yesterday, Nora’s mother made a heartfelt appeal to find her daughter, 15, as a £10,000 reward was offered for information leading to her safe return.
