UK pilots employed by Ryanair are planning a series of strikes this month as part of a row over pay.
Members of the Balpa pilots’ union backed walkouts by a majority of 80% on a turnout of 72%.
It said its national executive had settled on two strike dates.
The first was to last 48 hours from Thursday 22 August through Friday 23rd August.
The second covered Monday 2 September through Wednesday 4th September.
The ballot was called amid frustration with the no-frills carrier, headed by chief executive Michael O’Leary, over its handling of pay claims.
There could be a double whammy of bad news for the Ireland-based airline as the result of a separate ballot involving its domestic pilots is due to be announced on Friday.
