Lisa Armstrong has unveiled her latest tattoo – and it has a very poignant meaning behind it.
The 42-year-old make-up artist is no stranger to body art and boasts several inkings.
As she stepped out in London’s Sloane Square to indulge in a spot of jewellery shopping at Tiffany & Co, Lisa was seen with a new etching on her arm.
She appeared to have the Cancer Research Ribbon, a love heart and several small paw prints running down her left arm.
Lisa lost her beloved dad Derek, 71, to cancer in May after a lengthy battle.
She ensured that news of his illness stayed a secret while dealing with her public divorce from husband and Britain’s Got Talent presenter Ant McPartlin.
It was reported Derek had been diagnosed a year ago but that his condition deteriorated leaving Lisa ‘distraught.’
A source told The Sun: “There’s been one thing after another and at times she’s felt on her knees. But she’s kept it together and ploughed on.
“To do all of that whilst knowing your dad is seriously ill and on borrowed time is quite something. It would break most people.”
Lisa has faced a difficult year following the finalisation of her divorce and losing her job as a make-up artist on BGT after it was confirmed Ant was making his TV comeback following a six month hiatus.
But Lisa will be back in action when Strictly Come Dancing makes an eagerly awaited return this autumn.
Among the stars already confirmed on the line-up are ex-footballer David James, comedian Chris Ramsey and EastEnders actress Emma Barton.
