Rochelle Humes has reunited with her long-lost lookalike sister Lili after 23 years apart.
The telly star, 30, previously met her half-sister Lili only once, when they were children, and she has credited Love Island star Kem Cetinay with getting the siblings back together.
The plan came about at a Christmas party two years ago when Kem revealed he was friends with Lili and decided to help them reunite.
Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum Happy Baby Podcast, Rochelle explained: “I grew up with my mum and sister, all my siblings are half siblings. My dad was never around.
“I’ve never told anyone this before. Two years ago, I was at our management’s Christmas party and Love Island’s Kem was there.
“He was chatting away and said, ‘I got to talk to you… as soon as I became a celeb, I promised my friend Lili that I would talk to you as she’s your sister on your dad’s side’.
“I knew of her and met up with her when I was five, but it was so complicated as they were a lot younger and my dad wasn’t involved.
“On a drunken night out, Kem asked me if he could give her my number.
“She WhatsApped me and I didn’t reply till the morning. We planned to go out for dinner with my other sister and brother and I made Marvin come with me because I was so scared.”
The former pop star went on to reveal she couldn’t believe how much they look alike when they finally met up – and her husband Marvin was also shocked by the family resemblance.
She added: “We are literally the same people, Marvin was like, ‘OMG, there’s more of you.’
“We’ve spoken every day since – Jeremy Kyle style. It’s like we’ve known each other all our lives.”
The Saturdays star has even shared a picture of the siblings together with their other sister Sophie Piper, 20.
Sophie is said to be the latest name tapped to appear on Love Island this year, which would be an ironic twist to the family tale as it was former winner Kem who brought them all back together.
A source close to the programme claimed Soph has been made an offer, but she’s still weighing up the decision.
The insider told The Sun bosses are hoping Soph could emulate the success of Dani Dyer , who was familiar to some at the start of the 2018 series as the daughter of EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyner.
The source said: “She’s incredibly beautiful and loves meeting new people after already doing a season in Ibiza.
“She’s currently deciding with her family if it’s the right move for her but it’s looking like a strong possibility.”
